To simplify and enhance medical device connectivity across health systems, Oracle Health has launched the Oracle Health Device Validation Program for the U.S. Built on Oracle Health’s proven device integration framework, the new program establishes a standardized approach to validating device connectivity, functionality, and workflow alignment, enabling reliable and secure integration of medical devices within healthcare organizations.

As health systems increasingly rely on a diverse range of clinical devices from multiple vendors, maintaining seamless and consistent connections has become a persistent challenge. Unreliable or inconsistent device data can disrupt clinical workflows, create operational inefficiencies, and limit the adoption of innovative care models. The Oracle Health Device Validation Program establishes a structured, consistent way to help evaluate device connectivity, support nomenclature alignment, and streamline workflow integration. By using an EHR-agnostic architecture, the program enables customers to connect validated medical devices to any EHR, so organizations can select the solutions that best fit their needs.

“Oracle Health Device Validation provides the assurance hospitals need to choose our technology,” said Michael Hawn, senior vice president of data services and cloud hosting, Bio IntelliSense. “Customers know our devices are rigorously tested for interoperability, supporting fast, reliable workflows for clinicians.”

Delivering Value with Safe, Scalable, and Interoperable Device Adoption

The Oracle Health Device Validation Program offers a range of benefits for healthcare organizations and device partners. Through the program, health systems can gain predictable, standardized integration, with validated devices working seamlessly from day one. This standardized integration reduces the burden on IT staff while supporting safe and efficient patient care. Pre-validated connectivity and standardized workflows accelerate adoption of new devices and care models by minimizing integration delays and enhancing the user experience. Additionally, the program helps provide confidence and security, as ongoing validation supports secure, accurate data transmission and compliance with interoperability standards across any EHR.

“Our collaboration with Oracle has helped us drive meaningful and agile progress in our technology integration,” said Peter Richardson, associate director of connected care, Baxter. “By listening to our customers and working closely with Oracle Health, we can provide continual validation of our technology and build a dependable, interoperable platform that benefits healthcare providers and their patients.”

“At Oracle Health, we’re not waiting for the future of healthcare connectivity, we’re setting the standard,” said Seema Verma, executive vice president and general manager, Oracle Health and Life Sciences. “Through this validation program, we’re building trusted relationships with device vendors, streamlining interoperability, and opening the door for continued collaboration and innovation that gives our customers confidence and improves patient care.”
