Startup veteran Higinio Maycotte noticed a recurring problem: data scientists had trouble accessing their organization’s data, which was often stored in different warehouses and in varying forms. So he founded Molecula (Spanish for molecule), whose cloud platform makes it possible to access distributed data in real time and get it to engineering teams faster. A participant in Oracle’s Austin-based startup accelerator, Molecula reduces the time from data to decision, reversing the trend where the effort spent to access data exceeded the value it created.
