Minor Subject: Patch available to prevent unintentional access to the machine's file system over a Web browser

Product(s) Affected: BEA WebLogic Integration - Business Connect 8.1

Recently BEA identified a problem that could potentially cause a security vulnerability in WebLogic Integration - Business Connect 8.1. Patches are available to correct this problem (see section II below). BEA treats such possibilities with the highest degree of urgency and does everything possible to ensure the security of all customer assets. As a result, we strongly suggest the following action:

This vulnerability can occur under certain conditions allowing unintentional access to the machine's file system via a Web browser

The following versions of WebLogic Integration - Business Connect are affected by this vulnerability

  • Version: 8.1


Oracle strongly recommends the following course of actions:

  • For version 8.1 download and apply the patch #7825127 from OracleMetaLink as per the instructions below:
    1. Select the Patches and Updates tab after logging in to OracleMetaLink.
    2. Click Simple Search.
    3. In the Search By field, select Patch Number from the list.
    4. Enter the patch number. The patch number may be different for different product releases and platforms.
    5. Select the platform (or choose generic as applicable)
    6. Click Go.
    7. Click Download to download the patch.
