The desktop client for Oracle Documents Cloud Service synchronizes files between your computer and the cloud so that they're available wherever you go. You can also synchronize files between different computers and share your files with other people. The Oracle Documents Cloud Service desktop client is available for Microsoft Windows 7 and 8, and for MacOS 10.8 and 10.9.
The desktop client is now available for download from the Oracle Documents browser interface.
To install Oracle Documents for Windows/Mac:
Sign in to the Oracle Documents browser interface.
Click your user name and select Download Apps from the menu. The Download Apps page opens.
Download and save the installer file in a place you will remember.
Run the installer file and follow the instructions.
To configure Oracle Documents for Windows/Mac:
The first time you use the desktop client, a welcome screen displays, showing you what you can do with the client. Click the check box to stop the welcome screen from appearing again.
Next, you are prompted to enter your account information:
Enter the user name for your Oracle Documents Cloud Service account.
Enter your password. Check Remember Password to prevent the password prompt from appearing each time you start the client.
Enter the address for the cloud server. This is the same URL you use when you access Oracle Documents Cloud Service using a web browser.
Oracle Documents Cloud Service Mobile Applications
The Oracle Documents Cloud Service mobile applications are available for iOS and Android. Access your Oracle Documents account from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device: search, browse, read, download, and upload files on the go. The mobile applications are distributed through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, respectively.
Download Oracle Documents Cloud Service for Android For customers who require higher levels of mobile device security beyond that which is provided by the mobile operating systems (Apple iOS, Android) or through the security mechanisms available within the Oracle Documents mobile applications, Oracle offers the ability to deploy the Oracle documents mobile applications with the Oracle Mobile Security Suite (OMSS) secure workplace.
Customers who want to containerize and deploy the Oracle Documents mobile apps with mobile application management (MAM) solutions such as the Oracle Mobile Security Suite should the use unsigned versions of the apps.For more information on how this style of deployment works, please refer to the Oracle Mobile Security Suite documentation.
