About Caesars Entertainment

Caesars Entertainment is the largest casino-entertainment company in the US, with more than 50 properties across 30 jurisdictions and 55,000 employees. Its portfolio includes Caesars Palace®, Harrah’s®, Horseshoe®, and Eldorado®.

Business problem: Disconnected systems limited consistency and growth

Caesars relied on hundreds of disconnected applications, spreadsheets, and a 30-year-old HR system. Each property had its own processes, workflows, and spreadsheets, limiting consistency across finance and HR.

That environment cost $15 million a year to maintain. It also made it harder to support US and global growth after the 2020 merger with Eldorado Resorts and the company’s expansion into online gaming and sports betting.

Caesars also needed to manage a workforce spanning 130 union groups, complex shift scheduling, and varied compensation structures while improving recruiting, onboarding, and retention.

Solution and results: One cloud platform lowers cost and improves insight

Caesars adopted Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite as its platform for finance and HR. The company became the first gaming and hospitality company in Las Vegas to move to a cloud-based solution.

With Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Caesars closed and consolidated books across its properties, supported stronger compliance, and reported on time for SEC filings during the pandemic and merger.

Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) gave employees access to payroll, career development, and benefits. HR teams gained a fuller view of talent and performance trends across the business.

Caesars is also applying AI embedded in Fusion Applications to finance and HR workflows. In Oracle Cloud HCM, AI features support performance reviews, development plans, and goal setting. In finance, AI assistants help teams explain performance variances, compare narratives over time, and identify anomalies or biases.
