Finomnia migrates Oracle Database workloads to Oracle Base Database Service to improve efficiency, scalability, and security.

“Oracle helped us modernize our database environment while keeping operational continuity and cost optimization at the core of our strategy. With Oracle Base Database Service, our teams can focus on delivering innovation and value to customers, rather than managing infrastructure.”
Finomnia, an Italian financial software company that provides end-to-end platforms and solutions to banks and credit institutions, needed to modernize its Oracle Database environment. Operating in a highly regulated and cost-sensitive industry, the company serves customers throughout Europe and Latin America, which meant that maintaining strong security, compliance, scalability, and operational continuity was critical. Finomnia migrated its Oracle Database workloads from self-managed Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) compute environments to Oracle Base Database Service. By adopting Oracle’s managed database platform, the company benefited from built-in Oracle Database Standard Edition licensing, enhanced automation for lifecycle management and rapid environment cloning, and OCI-native security capabilities with advanced network segmentation. The migration, performed by the Oracle Cloud Lift Services EMEA team, also supported Finomnia’s cost optimization strategy while reducing the operational burden on internal teams, allowing the organization to focus more resources on delivering innovation and value-added services to its banking customers.
