As Litoplas expanded into Guatemala, the manufacturer needed a more consistent way to manage production, maintenance, inventory, purchasing, and financial performance across its plants. Older on-premises systems made it harder for teams to work from the same data, apply common controls, and make quick decisions across countries.
Solution and results: Connected data improves production and inventory
After seeing success with Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Litoplas extended its use of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite with Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
With Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Litoplas was able to connect manufacturing, maintenance, purchasing, inventory, and finance teams on a common cloud platform. The company increased production by 40%, improved machine availability by up to 6%, added 16 to 18 production days per year, and reduced its maintenance budget by 15%.
Using Oracle Fusion Cloud Warehouse Management, Litoplas increased inventory reliability from 57% to 96% and inventory accuracy from 96% to 99.9%. The company also reduced preparation and staging times by 20% and cut picking and packing transaction times in half.
Litoplas is now starting to use the AI capabilities built into Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications for supplier questions, supplier knowledge chat, and purchase order summaries, with plans to apply AI to production sequencing, supply chain prediction, and accelerated access to operational insights.
