We needed to upgrade our existing, on-premises Hospital Information System (HIS) to enrich the healthcare experience of our patients. The choice of Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud was a clear decision, giving us the flexibility and agility of the cloud coupled with a cloud within the European Union to improve infrastructure security for our patients’ data.

Piotr RajskiCTO, NU-MED

Known for its oncological care, NU-MED serves 50,000 patients annually across Poland, offering services from consultation and diagnosis to chemotherapy and radiotherapy within an integrated medical network. Its old Hospital Information System (HIS) was unable to support the company’s development plans. After moving to by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud in Frankfurt, the company addressed its data security and privacy concerns. The company also gained enhanced digital sovereign safeguards. The workload uses Oracle Compute and Database Service to host the HIS, which was developed by a third-party provider. NU-MED is anticipating cost savings by running HIS in the cloud versus on-premises.
