Pelindo operates Indonesia’s national ports, supporting container, non-container, maritime, and logistics services across 120 ports that handle about 90% of the country’s imports and exports. After four regional port operators merged into one company, Pelindo Solusi Digital, the group that oversees Pelindo's IT strategy, needed to simplify a complex technology stack consisting of multiple disconnected legacy systems, databases, and data centers, all operating in a highly regulated environment.
The IT team moved critical workloads, including terminal operating systems, booking systems, analytics dashboards, and ecosystem integration platforms, onto Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with Oracle Autonomous AI Database. The move has given Pelindo a more reliable and scalable platform for 24/7 port operations, helped reduce operating costs, and improved speed and pricing visibility. Pelindo also uses Oracle Autonomous AI Database to support faster insights and to automate port workflows. Entities including cargo owners, shipping lines, and government agencies can use digital services to track cargo movement, book transit, and easily exchange data.
