Business challenges

Headquartered in Singapore, Quest Global operates in over 17 countries, with 71 global delivery centers, and employs 17,800-plus staff worldwide. The engineering company provides end-to-end solutions across a range of industries, including aerospace and  defense, automotive, communications, energy, and technology.

As a multinational corporation, Quest Global’s priorities include business continuity planning and safeguarding against cyberthreats. The company’s manual and complex disaster recovery process made it difficult to define an application-specific RTO/RPO target and maximize availability to support its various businesses.

The support provided by Oracle has been extremely good—beyond our expectations. The Oracle cloud team became an integral part of our IT team, and they are always ready to help.

Why Quest Global chose Oracle

After evaluating other cloud providers and on-premises disaster recovery solutions, Quest selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to modernize its business continuity plan. OCI’s superior price-performance and end-to-end automated disaster recovery solutions matched with the company’s objectives. The company found that OCI’s suite of features were unmatched by other cloud providers.

Using OCI’s disaster recovery, Quest Global benefited from improved business continuity and performance, while saving costs. Further, the company made use of OCI’s flexible infrastructure to optimize its total cost of ownership with a hybrid cloud approach.

The company also tapped OCI’s data management tools, OCI GoldenGate and Oracle Data Guard, to synchronize data from on-premises to the cloud. The business used Oracle partner Rackware’s automated solution to continuously replicate virtual machines to OCI.
