“Moving to Oracle Cloud, with MySQL HeatWave as a key component, has significantly improved our database performance and reduced operational overhead. The integrated platform enables better scalability and reliability, allowing our teams to focus more on innovation than infrastructure management.”
Tamam Finance is a Saudi fintech company that delivers fast, fully digital microfinancing solutions, enabling customers to complete the entire financing journey online. As demand grew, the company faced performance constraints, recurring downtime, and rising costs while operating MySQL in a third-party colocation data center. To address these challenges, Tamam Finance migrated its infrastructure and databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and adopted Oracle MySQL HeatWave as part of the new platform. The move has improved reliability and scalability during peak demand, delivering a more than threefold improvement in database performance and significantly reducing incident-related downtime. Additionally, by shifting from a higher-cost hosting model to OCI, Tamam Finance was able to lower infrastructure spending and redirect those savings to support stable, long-term growth.
