“Oracle’s information lifecycle management solution with Heat Map transformed our data management strategy. We now automatically optimize storage based on real usage, reducing costs while maintaining performance. This was a game changer for our Exadata environment.”
Tawuniya is the first national insurance company licensed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and provides all types of insurance, including medical, motor, property, and casualty. As the company experienced exponential data growth with customer policies, claims, and audit logs, its core administration system on Oracle Exadata Database Machine faced mounting performance pressure and storage costs. 95% of its 88 TB of audit logging data was rarely accessed but accounted for a large share of storage costs, and manual data movement processes further increased overhead. By adopting Oracle’s information lifecycle management features, Tawuniya was able to identify database usage frequency and patterns with Heat Map and automatically classify data into tiers of activity. Using data tiering and advanced compression to reduce data storage requirements from 88 TB to 30 TB, the company achieved a 66% savings and enhanced performance without sacrificing accessibility. The result is a scalable, intelligent data management strategy that supports the company’s long-term digital transformation and cost-efficiency goals.
