- What’s the Oracle Cloud Personalized Training program?
The Oracle Cloud Personalized Training program provides instructor-led education to Oracle customers at any point in their cloud journey. It helps customers learn the basics of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), gets them started on their cloud journey, and provides a deep dive into our cloud technology.
- Who’s the audience for the Oracle Cloud Personalized Training program?
The Oracle Cloud Personalized Training program is designed for professionals working with OCI, such as developers, cloud architects, cloud engineers, line-of-business professionals, and C-suite executives. It’s tailored to meet the demands of the tech industry, cloud computing, and the high performance environment that comes with working in OCI. Whether you’re beginning your cloud journey or already leveraging OCI, we offer dedicated training sessions designed to match your level of expertise.
- What are some of the trainings offered by the Oracle Cloud Personalized Training team?
We offer standard QuickStart trainings for new-to-OCI customers. Topics in our QuickStart series include getting started with Oracle Cloud, business operations, cloud operations, networking, security, and database services. In addition, we offer customized training on topics based on customer interest—for example, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Analytics, multicloud, high availability, and disaster recovery to name a few.
The following is a description of the “Oracle Cloud Technical QuickStart” training: This session will cover the fundamentals of OCI, including cloud concepts, OCI structures, and core OCI services. OCI service areas that will be discussed include identity and access management (IAM), networking, compute, storage, and database. You’ll also learn about users, groups, and policies, along with the core tenets of virtual network design that will help set the foundation for application deployment to OCI. We’ll also cover terms and definitions for each of the topic areas to establish a foundation for additional sessions.
- What’s the format of the personalized training sessions?
Our personalized training sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging. Each session begins with an introduction of the topic, followed by a live demonstration. Throughout the session, we encourage participation and welcome questions, and there’s also time at the end dedicated for a focused Q&A. Some sessions also feature hands-on workshops, allowing participants to engage with LiveLabs exercises in the Oracle Cloud Console for real-world experience.
- How much lead time do we need to schedule a personalized training session?
After determining your needs in our initial consultation, we’ll draft a training syllabus for you to review. Then we can align appropriate resources and content to make it as beneficial as possible for you and your team. This typically requires two to three weeks of lead time.
- Is there a cost for the personalized training?
No. Personalized training is an investment we make in our customers to help them grow and develop their OCI skills at no extra cost to them.
- Do you support onsite training?
We prioritize virtual training sessions as they allow customers to get up to speed more quickly. However, we can discuss onsite training with you during the initial consultation and will consider it on a case-by-case basis.
- Is the Oracle Cloud Personalized Training program offered in all regions?
At this time, the Oracle Cloud Personalized Training program is offered only in North America. However, our Day One and Beyond webinars are available in all regions.
