Global development agency will use Oracle Cloud HCM to manage all HR processes across 18 countries
GENEVA, Switzerland—February 7, 2024The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) to manage its global HR operations. The Foundation will use Oracle Cloud HCM to manage HR processes for employees across 18 countries.
Part of the global Aga Khan Development Network, AKF is a private not-for-profit development agency that addresses socioeconomic challenges in some of the poorest and most marginalized communities in the world.
To continue to deliver distinctive and bold solutions to their stakeholders, the foundation recognised the need to attract and retain the best talent across the globe and to operate in a consistent way across countries. Operating in several countries with manual processes, it was difficult to capture and analyse data centrally and even more so to take decisions rapidly.
The organization needed to consolidate its HR operations into a single system to simplify HR processes and operate based on one source of truth, generate better workforce insights with improved data quality, less administration, enhanced employee experience and accelerated decision making. It selected Oracle Cloud HCM for its scalability and ability to standardize all HR processes within a single application as well as the possibility to add diverse modules which is in line with the foundation’s longer-term plans.
A central time management solution now allows employees to operate in various countries via a common platform. This improves the data quality, the reporting and ultimately the finance and the decision-making process with it. The global real time vision of its staff enables in turn leadership to dedicate more time to strategic data-based decision making. Thanks to the built in guided learning and the change management program staff have embraced the new solution well and quickly with 900 unique logins into the platform during the first week.
“The efforts of our field team of more than 4,000 people are at the heart of our work, and one of our main goals with deploying a new HR system is to deliver a more modern employee experience that inspires and empowers our workforce. Oracle Cloud HCM will help us gain richer data insights and develop self-service processes to reduce manual administration and enhance employee productivity across the organization,” said Dawn Hopkins, Global HRIS Project Manager, AKF.
Oracle Cloud HCM will provide the Foundation with an HCM system that connects every process across the employee lifecycle, helping to improve decision-making and reduce operational costs. With infused AI, digital assistants, and hundreds of new capabilities added each quarter, Oracle Cloud HCM will also enable the Foundation to keep up with the latest technology advancements and HR best practices.
“Being able to rely on an engaged, well trained, and loyal team is crucial for any Not-For-Profit to make a meaningful positive impact. To fulfill its noble missions, the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) needed to ensure it can serve and develop its global staff based in close to 20 countries in the best possible ways, which was impossible without a solid HRIS foundation. Thanks to Oracle Cloud HCM, AKF is now able to leverage data and groundbreaking innovation to ensure that its staff members have all the tools necessary to thrive and make a real impact for a better world.” said Amaury Lepretre, Country Leader Cloud Applications Alps.
The implementation was led by TCS, an Oracle PartnerNetwork OPN member.
