Oracle Cloud ERP to help process up to £250 billion in finance transactions annually for the NHS.
Oracle CloudWorld Tour, LONDON—April 19, 2023NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) announced today that it has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to help build an Integrated Single Financial Environment (ISFE) for NHS England. Oracle Cloud ERP will enable NHS England and 42 Integrated Care Boards in the UK to standardize all financial processes on a single cloud-based platform to reduce costs and improve controls.
Created in 2004 through a joint venture between the Department of Health and Social Care and Sopra Steria, NHS SBS delivers corporate services across finance and accounting, digital, procurement and workforce services to NHS employees, patients, and suppliers. Depended on by millions of NHS staff and patients, NHS SBS processes around £250 billion each year. After a thorough review, NHS SBS selected Oracle Cloud ERP to simplify finance processes and efficiently scale services.

With Oracle Cloud ERP, NHS SBS will automate financial processes to increase operational efficiency, improve decision-making, and more efficiently manage resources. In addition, Oracle’s quarterly update cycle will give NHS SBS access to continuous innovation as new features are added to the system every 90 days, without operational disruption or downtime.
