Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-in for Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance


Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-in for Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance provides monitoring and provisioning for all Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance models. In addition, the plug-in provides the following primary features:

  • Gathers and presents storage system, configuration, and performance information for Oracle ZFS Storage appliances
  • Ties together Oracle databases deployed on NFS shares from Oracle ZFS Storage Appliances
  • Raises alerts for preselected configuration and monitoring data
  • Provides Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher (previously in Information Publisher) reports that complement Oracle ZFS Storage Analytics reports
  • Provides configurable job utilities in the Enterprise Manager Job Library that can provision users on target appliances, manage dataset retention policies and manage collections of datasets
  • Provides target-based storage provisioning on Oracle ZFS Storage Appliances
  • Utilizes system health checks that can provide alerts to potential system stability and performance issues

Installation Instructions

  1. Download the Administration Guide. Also review the current Release Notes for your download version.
  2. Click on the "Download Plug-in" link, and save the archive on your machine.
  3. Follow the instructions detailed in the Administration Guide.
  4. If multiple versions of a plug-in are available, Oracle recommends you use the latest version of the plug-in that fits your version of Oracle Enterprise Manager, as long as its prerequisites as mentioned in the documentation are met by your environment.
