JavaFX 1.3

To develop with JavaFX on Windows, you need Java Development Kit (JDK) 6 Update 13 ( Update 18 recommended). On Macintosh OS X, you need JDK 5 Update 16.

NetBeans IDE 6.9 for JavaFX 1.3

Download NetBeans IDE 6.9 for JavaFX 1.3 to get started with JavaFX quickly. It provides all the tools you need to build a JavaFX application, as well as samples that help you along. This download installs the JavaFX 1.3 SDK, NetBeans IDE 6.9, and plugins for JavaFX development tools.

Note: If NetBeans IDE 6.9 is already installed on your system, install its JavaFX plugin.

JavaFX 1.3 SDK

You can choose to download the JavaFX 1.3 SDK without the developer tools (NetBeans IDE and plugins).

JavaFX 1.3 Production Suite

JavaFX 1.3 Production Suite enables designers to convert their rich media assets to JavaFX format and view the converted files before handing them off to JavaFX application developers. JavaFX 1.3 Production Suite consists of three components:

  • JavaFX Plugin for Adobe Photoshop (exports graphics in Photoshop to JavaFX format)
  • JavaFX Plugin for Adobe Illustrator (exports graphics in Illustrator to JavaFX format)
  • JavaFX Media Factory (converts SVG files to JavaFX format and provides a Viewer for displaying JavaFX format files)
