This page contains certification information on supported virtualization and partitioning technologies for Oracle Fusion Middleware (Oracle FMW) product releases. Every Oracle Fusion Middleware product that is certified on Linux, Windows or Oracle Solaris as physical OS is also certified and supported when running as virtual guest on Oracle VM or Oracle Linux KVM as long as the respective operating system is supported by Oracle VM or Oracle Linux KVM
Note: If an Operating System (OS) vendor releases a newer OS version, along with a complimenting virtualization/partitioning technology, the support of this new combination depends on the following:
The following sections identify the supported virtualization/partitioning technologies for Oracle Fusion Middleware product releases.
As per the Oracle Software Technical Support Policies document, you must remain on a supported environment – including applications and platforms – to receive technical support. If a vendor retires support for its product, you may be required to upgrade to a current certified and supported product, application, hardware platform, framework, database, and/or operating system configuration to continue receiving technical support services from Oracle.
Every Oracle Fusion Middleware product that is certified on Linux, Windows or HP-UX as physical OS is also certified and supported when running on Superdome X npar as long as the respective operating system is supported by Superdome X npar. For the list of certified operating environments for Superdome X, refer to HP Integrity Superdome X Datasheet.
Oracle Products are not certified to run on Virtual Machines/guests provided by Xen or KVM offerings by Red Hat, Novell or XenSource. Refer to My Oracle Support Doc ID 417770.1.
The following table identifies the supported virtualization/partitioning technologies for Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g and 12c.
