Jade had finished her studies and was already working in the professional world when someone referred to her to our BDR programme. Now she’s thriving thanks to fulfilling work, a close-knit team, and the ideal work-life balance.
“I studied paper based, double entry bookkeeping alongside computerised accounting for business in 2006 as evening classes—probably the last year that people were taught this method on paper!
Before joining this programme, I worked in finance for a building maintenance company and from there got into selling finance software for a competitor. Before coming here I briefly priced Tarmac for large construction projects. But my previous employment wasn’t challenging me, and I knew I had experience that I wanted to utilize. At Oracle NetSuite, you definitely get back what you put in.
The culture here is fantastic. I met like-minded people who I connected with quickly. My cohort were super friendly, my mentor was really helpful, my buddy was lovely, and the staff that trained us were so supportive. I’m thankful for all of them!”
Nursu studied Biomedical Science at the Oxford Brookes University, Oxford. After her studies she worked in recruitment for two years. She was promoted very quickly which helped her decide that she wanted to pursue a career in sales.
“One of my best friends started as a BDR and she loved it! I knew the culture at NetSuite was amazing as I could see how happy she was, and despite having to onboard virtually, how connected her team were. The role sparked my interest as I loved the amount of training provided, not just in the beginning but throughout your career. And there was a very clear promotion pathway which I knew would motivate me.
Onboarding taught me so much. It was cleverly designed in a way that was very interactive with lots of fun activities. I wish I could do it again! I had a mentor who is now promoted to account executive, and she was always there to answer even my silliest questions.
There’s not many companies at NetSuite’s level that have such a supportive culture where you feel that someone always has your back.”
Before joining us, Harry worked as a cleaner, painter, and salesman. He studied Business Management at York St. John University in 2018.
“I first discovered Oracle when reading The Economist, then about a week later my friend mentioned his sister worked there. Eager to learn how I could get into a company like that, I did some Googling and asked if I could speak to her about getting into SaaS sales. After a conversation over the phone, she referred me.
I didn’t realise it was based in Reading, but after hearing about the opportunities down here I decided to jump in the deep end. I’m very glad I did. Onboarding helps you get stuck in from the get-go and connects you with really interesting people. The culture all the way through NetSuite is great. I’ve yet to meet a single person who won’t go out of their way to help you.
Three reasons to join Oracle NetSuite: Unrivalled career progression, top of the range training, and of course, a good salary—couldn’t not mention that!”
