Multicloud Universal Credits enable enterprise customers to simplify procurement with a single consolidated commitment across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle AI Database@AWS, Oracle AI Database@Azure, and Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud. They offer consistent pricing and flexibility, making it easier to manage multicloud environments at scale and eliminating the need for separate contracts with each provider.
Customers who intend to deploy workloads with at least two of the four cloud providers (OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are eligible. By default, a Multicloud Universal Credits contract comes with an OCI subscription that will be billed by Oracle based on usage.
Multicloud Universal Credits do not apply to existing Universal Credits subscriptions with Oracle, existing private offers with any of the hyperscalers, or new private offers being created for an existing hyperscaler subscription (for example, expansions, replenishments, and renewals associated with existing subscriptions).
We plan to support customers in transitioning their existing subscription (private offers or Oracle Universal Credits) to a Multicloud Universal Credits commitment in the future.
Currently, orders for Multicloud Universal Credits can be placed in US dollars only. Additional currencies will be added in a future release.
You can apply Multicloud Universal Credits to eligible OCI services (those covered under the Universal Credits model) and Oracle AI Database offerings on supported hyperscalers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud), where offered. For an up-to-date list of eligible services, refer to the following web pages: OCI services, Oracle AI Database@AWS, Oracle AI Database@Azure, and Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud.
Not currently, but indirect/reseller transactions are being planned for a future release.
Yes. Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer usage on an Oracle Universal Credits subscription is eligible when provided with a new Multicloud Universal Credits contract.
Not at this time.
The ability to add another hyperscaler to an existing Multicloud Universal Credits contract is planned for a future release. Please contact your sales rep if you have this requirement.
Only Oracle AI Database services are available through Oracle AI Database@AWS/Azure/Google Cloud. The full set of OCI services is available through the OCI subscription included with a Multicloud Universal Credits contract.
Yes. The secondary subscriptions included in a Multicloud Universal Credits contract (OCI and Oracle AI Database@AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) can be enrolled in Oracle Support Rewards. Rewards accrue based on the consumption of eligible SKUs under the standard Oracle Support Rewards rules.
You will receive your billing and invoices directly from the hyperscaler, as you do today. You can continue to access Oracle AI Database@AWS/Azure/Google Cloud consumption natively within the hyperscaler you are using.
The billing will follow the standard invoicing and payment cycles of each hyperscaler’s marketplace.
The Multicloud Universal Credits model supports both upfront-commitment and usage-based private offers across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud marketplaces. Work with your hyperscaler account team to choose the best option for your situation.
For any overage, the hyperscaler will bill you monthly in arrears at your negotiated rate card (as it does today). Additionally, the overage amount will count against your Multicloud Universal Credits commitment. If you don’t renew your Multicloud Universal Credits contract at the end of the term, any continued Oracle AI Database@AWS/Azure/Google Cloud consumption will be billed at list price. For details, see the service descriptions referenced in your Oracle Ordering Document.
No. Hyperscaler commitments are “use them or lose them” and can’t be transferred to other hyperscalers or subscriptions.
