    How Airbnb Is Transforming Financial Accounting Using Oracle Cloud (SaaS and PaaS) [CAS5269] | 12:15–1:00 p.m.
    Airbnb’s financial accounting system utilizes Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud to process an average of 150 million accounting events per day, before accounting into a general ledger. Such a massive feat is orchestrated using platforms (PaaS) that include an autonomous transaction processing database, Java cloud services that process Apache Thrift payloads received from various sources, and and integration cloud solution that mediates transactions to Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud.     In this fun-filled interactive session see a concept to delivery demo using Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle SCM Cloud, IoT, and Oracle Java Cloud to explore all aspects of Industry 4.0. Using a Lego robotics-based smart factory, see how to connect to Oracle ERP Cloud and 3D print an ordered item in Oracle Management Cloud. The demo uses an MES solution, developed as an extension to Oracle ERP Cloud, to interface with PLC controllers. Then a Lego robot 3D prints the item while 18 sensors push data to an IoT solution. Detection of an anomaly creates maintenance work orders within Oracle ERP Cloud and the 3D printed item record is inserted to a blockchain ledger.
