CATRION strengthens data security with Oracle Database and GoldenGate
CATRION Catering adopts Oracle Database, Oracle GoldenGate, and Oracle Advanced Security to increase resiliency and meet regulatory requirements.
“Oracle Database significantly contributes to CATRION’s operational excellence, helping to ensure robust security, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted business continuity.”
CATRION Catering, previously recognized as Saudi Airlines Catering Company, has been a leading provider of culinary and hospitality services for over 40 years. As a supplier to Saudia and more than 115 other airlines and 45 clients, preventing cyberthreats and vulnerabilities to data and IT systems is critical. CATRION decided to move its in-house developed catering platform on Oracle Database onto Oracle Database Appliance to increase performance and stability. To strengthen business resiliency and disaster recovery, the company established five regional data centers and deployed Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication among the sites, which boosted data availability and consistency. This, along with the implementation of Oracle Advanced Security for data encryption, also helped the company meet Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority data availability and encryption regulatory requirements.
