Comercial Zaffari strengthens security and availability with Oracle Exadata
The Brazilian retailer moves to Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Exadata Database Service on OCI to bolster disaster recovery and data security.

Comercial Zaffari is a retail and wholesale supermarket chain in Brazil. With 10 stores and expansion plans for 14 new stores within two years, the chain needed to improve its IT reliability, efficiency, and security for regulatory compliance. To achieve these goals, it consolidated 50% of database workloads that supported third-party point-of-sale and back-office ERP and HR applications to Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance. After implementation, the retailer improved resilience to security incidents and reduced the Return Point Objective to less than 1 minute. Additionally, the retailer adopted Exadata Database Service on OCI for cost-effective disaster recovery. The company was able to minimize disruptions and risk of data loss.
