In-N-Out Burger’s legacy mainframe HR system couldn’t scale with expansion. It limited real-time reporting, process automation, and mobile access for the company’s 43,000 employees.

The business wanted a user-friendly, integrated HR solution with self-service capabilities. It needed to scale as the number of restaurants and associates grew.

Solution and results: Unify HR and payroll data in Oracle Fusion Cloud

In-N-Out selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM). Key capabilities behind the decision included support for time and labor, benefits management, payroll, and compensation processes.

The company also valued Oracle Fusion Cloud capabilities for HR helpdesk, employee communication, and integrated financial management through Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

By moving off disconnected, manual systems, In-N-Out created a single source of truth for employee data. The new solution delivered real-time insights, automated HR workflows, and improved payroll controls and transparency.

Employees and managers also gained intuitive self-service tools designed for mobile use. These tools were a better match for the needs and workstyles of In-N-Out associates.
