Four-time Formula 1 world champion Red Bull Racing Honda needed to optimize the way data is used across its business—from on-track activities to putting more information in the hands of the team’s global fan base.
Oracle brings huge capability, innovation, and expertise to many of the world’s largest and most successful businesses. To be able to tap into that exceptional power and knowledge is a major step forward for our team.
Team Principal, Red Bull Racing Honda
Red Bull Racing Honda chose Oracle as its official cloud infrastructure partner in order to take advantage of the machine learning and advanced analytics of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The team also chose Oracle because of its extensive suite of marketing cloud applications, enabling the team to engage more closely with its fans.
This partnership will include work to optimize and elevate the use of data in improving car performance for Red Bull Racing Honda. This comes in the form of a multiyear roadmap, including both on- and off-track engineering operations, to make the most of the extensive artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s flexibility will also support the diversification of engineering work undertaken on the Red Bull Technology Campus.
To help its fans feel closer to the race day action, Red Bull Racing Honda’s marketing team is planning to use Oracle Unity Customer Data Platform, Oracle CrowdTwist Loyalty and Engagement, and Oracle Responsys Campaign Management.
Together, these tools are meant to help the team provide its global fan base with easy access to statistics and insights to more easily follow the action on the track.
We’re excited to bring a major partner such as Oracle into Formula 1. With a focus on pushing the limits in everything that we do, finding the right partner for our journey to the cloud was absolutely crucial.
