The application suite’s AI agents and intuitive interface help employees, managers, and HR personnel get answers faster.

“We didn't just move to Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM—we built an AI-native experience on top of it. With AskHR, our employees get answers in a conversation instead of a navigation exercise, managers get coaching-ready guidance in seconds, and HR business partners can pull live workforce insights without ever opening a report.”
Spectrum set out to remove friction from everyday HR tasks. Its legacy human capital management application required too many clicks and steps, which slowed productivity and decision-making across its 92,000-person workforce (as of December 31, 2025). As America’s connectivity company, Spectrum currently serves about 31 million* customers across 41 states with Spectrum Internet, Mobile, Video, and Voice services. Speed and simplicity are essential not only for customers but for employees and managers too. Seeking a better way to deliver HR information and simplify work, the company implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) applications, supplemented by Oracle AI for HCM and Oracle AI Agent Studio, replacing a click-heavy, report-driven legacy HR application with a more unified, consumer-like interface. The result is that employees can now get answers to their HR queries faster, with fewer manual steps.
Why Spectrum chose Oracle
Spectrum evaluates its business applications through the lens of productivity: fewer steps, less friction, and easier access to information. In its legacy HCM environment, routine work often required HR team members, managers, and employees to navigate multiple screens, pull reports, and manually correlate data.
Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM stood out because it offers a unified platform, consumer-grade usability, and AI features that are embedded directly into day-to-day work rather than bolted on. Oracle AI Agent Studio was especially important because it gives Spectrum the flexibility to build custom agents, create its own business objects and tools, and fine-tune prompts for its specific workflows.
Results
Spectrum is already seeing tangible gains from Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and its AI capabilities. The company completed a pilot with five business units before launch, then rolled out three custom AI agents. Those agents are helping employees handle tasks that used to require calls or multiple handoffs. For example, a leave-of-absence request now begins with a simple question to an AI agent, which returns the steps, links, and forms needed to move forward. Managers can see team compensation, anniversaries, birthdays, performance summaries, and team structure without running reports or pulling data from multiple systems.
The generative AI capabilities in Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM are saving employees and managers time on drafting, refining, and cascading goals. The AI Assist feature has helped increase the number of goals per employee and encouraged earlier goal entry compared with prior years. The company is also seeing better-quality goal setting. Goals are now more likely to be written in the SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) format and aligned with business objectives. Managers and employees spend less time on manual editing and more time on meaningful performance conversations. Spectrum’s goal-setting process is now faster, more consistent, and more strategic across the organization.
Spectrum says the Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM UX offers improved usability and makes information easier to act on, so employees spend less time navigating systems and more time getting work done. Looking ahead, the company expects to use Oracle’s forthcoming workflow agents to monitor HR data and processes and identify issues, such as missing or inconsistent information, before they affect payroll or employee services. Spectrum has even added an AI product manager dedicated to Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, underscoring that this is a long-term operating model, not a one-time deployment.
