“Oracle has been a trusted partner for decades. With Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, we get predictable costs, near-limitless scale, and a platform that supports our vision.”
After moving its financial management and student information systems onto Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer several years ago, Texas A&M’s Research Information Systems group realized significant system performance improvements. But it needed an equally powerful public cloud solution to speed up provisioning of system environments to support its grant management operations. The group was able to easily transfer its grant proposal management, compliance, and funding activities to Oracle Exadata Database Service and Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The move automated many database management functions and enabled new development environments to be set up in minutes. Freed from infrastructure management, Texas A&M Research Information Systems can focus on delivering new capabilities faster to the teams that support the university’s research.
