Family-owned Al Babtain Group, a diverse trading company operating in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, is extending its use of Oracle Cloud to fuel business sustainability, efficiency, and growth. By replacing its legacy technology with modern Oracle Retail Store Point of Service (POS) systems and Oracle Retail Customer Engagement Cloud Service, the group will be able to quickly scale to new locations while providing customers with more hands-on, personalized service that helps build loyalty and drive sales.

Al Babtain also uses Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM), and Oracle Fusion Cloud Warehouse Management Systems to create operational efficiency across its business portfolio.

“We believe in technology that supports business change. And Oracle has the right applications and expertise to support our sustainable growth strategy,” said Manoj Edayath, Group Chief Information Officer of Al Babtain Group. “As we compared solutions, we recognized that the Oracle cloud technology stack delivers the unparalleled system availability, security, and scale we need to compete and grow.”

A recent consumer survey shows that over three-quarters (77%) of UAE shoppers are anxious to shop in-store. To meet this expectation, Al Babtain needed a modern, customer-centric retail POS system to support its expansion into new markets. With Oracle Retail Xstore and Customer Engagement Cloud Service Al Babtain’s store associates will have the correct information to provide customers with a more helpful and satisfying experience as they shop for electronics and appliances. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure enables the performance and scalability of the Oracle retail solutions.

“Our consumer research shows that 84% of UAE consumers want personalization in their retail experiences,” said Mike Webster, senior vice president, and general manager, Oracle Retail. “As part of its store reopening and expansion program, Al Babtain required a modern, integrated suite of retail applications that could deliver on this expectation. With our solutions, they will be able to personalize the shopping experience for each customer to help increase sales and cultivate greater loyalty.”

Al Babtain F&B division (tazweed) also uses Oracle MICROS Simphony Cloud Point of Sale (POS) and Restaurant Inventory Management Software to streamline kitchen operations, inventory, and recipe management for its Lavazza café operations, the same cloud migration project of symphony cloud has been completed successfully. With Oracle, Al Babtain can maximize profitability and operational efficiency by automating tasks to optimize stock levels, reduce food waste, and manage cash flow.
