Werner Turck GmbH & Co. KG (Turck) is a leader in industrial manufacturing automation products. With more than 15,000 high technology products—including sensors, fieldbus, connectors, interfaces, and radio-frequency identification (RFID)—Turck offers global production and process automation solutions for the industrial manufacturing industry.
Turck was founded in Germany and was an early adopter in globalization, starting Turck Inc. in the United States in 1975, with the goal of offering technology solutions and services to industrial manufacturing companies across the globe. It currently has production sites in Germany, Switzerland, the United States, Mexico, and China, to meet local market demand and requirements.
Turck required greater control at a global level of not only the production of high technology products, but the research and development process as well. Turck maintains development operations at a number of international sites to ensure local market needs are met with solutions that address emerging trends.
Turck implemented Oracle’s Agile Engineering Data Management to unify, streamline, and standardize quality control processes for all products developed and produced by the company. These new controls ensured uniform branding worldwide, improved customer satisfaction, contributed to decreased time-to-market for goods, and increased profitability. This has directly facilitated the expansion into new markets to support sustainable, ongoing growth.
The complex, global nature of Werner Turck GmbH & Co. KG requires a robust, agile IT infrastructure. As a long-time Agile PLM solutions and Oracle Database customer, integrating Oracle’s Agile applications with existing Oracle solutions was a seamless process.
“Both Oracle’s Agile applications and Oracle Database are significant to our business. With Oracle, we have guaranteed the long-term development of our strategic infrastructure,” said Helmut Wunderlich, head of IT, Werner Turck GmbH & Co. KG.
ICP Solution GbmH (ICP) supported Werner Turck GmbH & Co. KG with the implementation and further development of its PLM environment.
