Data Lake service

OCI Data Lake offers a centralized storage and metadata for your structured and unstructured data with unified, fined-grained access control and seamless integration with open source tools and Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.

One secure and managed data lake

Avoid data silos and centralize all your data in a secure, fully managed data lake on OCI.

Unify governance across your data stack

Allow your teams to access, process, analyze, and share your data with a unified experience.

Fully open

OCI Data Lake supports ACID transactions. Open source table formats, such as Delta Lake, Iceberg, and Hudi, are supported in OCI Data Lake, facilitating analytics with an open architecture.

Get early access to OCI Data Lake

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is launching a fully managed data lake service called OCI Data Lake this year. You can sign up for early access to explore its features and capabilities before it's released to the public.

How OCI Data Lake works

Bring the data from different cloud providers and on-premises data sources to a data lake hosted in OCI using OCI Data integration or OCI Data Flow jobs. This architecture covers batch, data, real-time, and event-based integration scenarios. Once data is in OCI Data Lake, it can be processed and analysed with OCI-managed Hadoop or Spark.

How OCI Data Lake works
The image shows an OCI region containing the following blocks:
  • Oracle Integration Cloud and API Gateway connecting to Oracle Fusion Applications, Internet of Things, social media/third-party applications, on-premises systems (private connectivity through connectivity agent), and other clouds.
  • OCI Data Lake in the middle where you can store data, apply fine-grained access control. It can be as well replicated to other regions.
  • Then process and analytics where various data services can use the data in the data lake.

Oracle welcomes customers to OCI Data Lake in early access

Rohit Saha, Senior Product Manager, Oracle

Organizations are handling progressively larger volumes of data, encompassing both structured and unstructured formats. In addition to their conventional databases and data warehouses, they frequently establish data lakes, which use object storage to ensure reliability, versatility, and cost effectiveness in storing data.
