Where can I download Oracle Data Integrator?
Oracle Data Integrator 12c is available in the Oracle Data Integrator Downloads on OTN and on eDelivery.
Where can I download Repository Creation Utility (RCU)?
RCU is now part of the base installation for Oracle Data Integrator.
Does RCU support non-Oracle databases?
Yes, it supports non-Oracle databases. Please refer to the certification matrix for more details.
What is the proper RCU for ODI 12c and where do I find it?
RCU is laid down as part of the ODI installation and can be found under the install directly. Please refer to the documentation for further details.
Is the use of RCU mandatory for creating ODI 12c repositories?
Yes, it is strongly recommended because RCU creates the dependent schema types as well which are needed down the line for configuring the ODI Agent.
Should the ODI 12c home be placed under Fusion Middleware home?
Yes, as long as the Fusion Middleware version is supported in the certification matrix.
If a Fusion Middleware home already exists and is used by ODI 11g, can the ODI 12c install go into it also?
No, ODI 12c can be installed on a supported version of the Fusion Middleware home only.
I have already installed the Enterprise install type for ODI in my oracle_home, do I need to install it again if I want to have Standalone Agent(s)? Why is this needed when the Enterprise install type itself includes Standalone Agent(s)?
Yes, you would need to install the Standalone install type again in a separate Oracle home. The Enterprise install type contains the Collocated Standalone Agent which is different from the Standalone Agent.
Can the configuration wizard launched from the Enterprise install location be used for configuring a Standalone Agent also?
No. To configure the Standalone Agent the configuration wizard should be launched from the Standalone installation location. The configuration wizard from the Enterprise install location can be used for configuring Collocated Standalone Agent(s) that get installed with the Enterprise install type.
Does the Standalone Agent require WebLogic Server (WLS) for installation?
No, WLS is not required for Standalone Agent(s). The libraries required by the WebLogic Management Framework get laid down by the installer on selecting the Standalone install option.
How do I modify the username/password configuration for a Standalone Agent?
The username/password can be updated through the configuration wizard.
What install type should be selected for managing a Standalone Collocated Agent by Enterprise Manager Cloud Control (EMCC)?
The required EMCC plugins are available with the EMCC installer and not included in the ODI installer.
Does the Collocated Agent also take advantage of the High Availability (HA) capabilities of WebLogic Server?
No. High Availability is available only for the JEE Agent.
What Edition of WebLogic Server is required for a Standalone Collocated Agent?
Standard Edition of WLS would be sufficient.
Can the ODI installer be installed with JRE?
No. JDK is required to run the installer.

Can I upgrade from a previous version of ODI to ODI 12c?
You are able to upgrade ODI 12c from ODI 11.1.1.6 and above. If you are working with a version below 11.1.1.6 (for example, v10, 11.1.1.3, 11.1.1.5,...), please upgrade to 11.1.1.6 or 11.1.1.7 first. After upgrading to 11.1.1.6 or 11.1.1.7, you are eligible to upgrade to ODI 12c.

Does Oracle Data Integrator 12c include WebLogic Server?
Oracle Data Integrator 12c includes a restricted use license of WebLogic Server Standard Edition to use for running the Oracle Data Integrator Console.
Is the support for Apache Spark, Pig and Oozie included with the ODI Enterprise Edition License?
The ODI functionality supporting Apache Spark, Pig and Oozie requires a separate license of ODI Advanced Big Data Option.
