Zurich—May 12, 2026

Oracle and AWS

Oracle and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are now offering Oracle AI Database@AWS to customers in Switzerland. With the offering’s debut in the AWS Europe (Zurich) Region, customers can now run Oracle Exadata Database Service, Oracle Autonomous AI Database, and Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse on dedicated infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) within AWS. In addition, customers can purchase Oracle AI Database@AWS through qualified Oracle and AWS channel partners, offering the flexibility to work with trusted partners while continuing to innovate and solve complex business challenges in the cloud.

Customers can quickly and easily migrate their on-premises Oracle AI Database and Oracle Exadata workloads to Oracle AI Database@AWS with minimal changes, offering full feature availability, architectural compatibility, and performance on par with on-premises. In addition, Oracle AI Database@AWS delivers zero-ETL (extract, transform, and load) integrations that unify data across Oracle and AWS for advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI services, such as Amazon Bedrock. By integrating the powerful capabilities of Oracle AI Database with data and leading services from AWS, customers can easily build new AI-enabled applications or enhance existing ones.

“The availability of Oracle AI Database@AWS in the AWS Region in Zurich will support the growing demand from organizations in Switzerland that are seeking to modernize mission-critical workloads and accelerate innovation with AI,” said Pasha Pourfallah, vice president, Database Platform, Switzerland, Oracle. “Customers can now migrate their on-premises Oracle AI Database and Oracle Exadata workloads to Oracle AI Database@AWS with minimal disruption. This enables them to create new business value by leveraging the in-database AI capabilities of Oracle AI Database combined with AWS analytics and machine learning services to build new AI-enabled applications or enhance existing ones.”

“Organizations running Oracle Exadata know firsthand how critical these systems are to enterprise IT,” said Christoph Schnidrig, head of technology, Switzerland, AWS. “With Oracle AI Database@AWS in our Zurich Region, we’re bringing the simplicity and reliability of a fully managed cloud service to one of the most essential building blocks in enterprise IT, while helping customers keep their data in Switzerland.”

Customers such as Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) are adopting Oracle AI Database@AWS to accelerate AI deployments and simplify management and operations.
