Amid increasing demands for availability, mobility, and AI-enabled innovation, Sykehuspartner HF needed to modernize its aging on-premises infrastructure. Doing so required a platform that could provide the security, compliance support, and data sovereignty necessary for mission-critical healthcare operations.
The organization adopted Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud—with its EU-based operations—via a phased modernization strategy. The journey began with Oracle Exadata on Exadata Cloud@Customer deployed in its own data center to establish a secure hybrid cloud foundation. Sykehuspartner then expanded production workloads across Oracle’s distributed cloud environment, including the migration of its ERP platform on Oracle Exadata Database Service with disaster recovery capabilities spanning Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud regions in Frankfurt and Madrid.
By leveraging Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance, Oracle GoldenGate, and Oracle Database Zero Data Loss Autonomous Recovery Service, Sykehuspartner enhanced the availability, resilience, and recoverability of crucial healthcare systems. This modernization has reduced the operational burden of managing legacy infrastructure, enabling IT teams to focus more on innovation and service improvements that support healthcare providers and patients.
