Oracle today announced that it has been named a Leader in two recent reports, Gartner’s 2018 “Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools” report1 and Gartner’s 2018 “ Magic Quadrant for Metadata Management Solutions” report 2. This recognition is further validation of Oracle’s continued leadership in delivering a comprehensive portfolio of integration solutions.
“Our leadership illustrates the importance of data integration in the digital age and the value that Oracle’s data integration solutions deliver to customers every day,” said Jeff Pollock, vice president, product management, Oracle. “Oracle delivers a modern data integration solution bringing together data integration, data governance, and streaming data along with comprehensive cloud-based data warehousing, big data and analytics solutions.”
According to Gartner, “The data integration tools market is composed of tools for rationalizing, reconciling, semantically interpreting and restructuring data between diverse architectural approaches, specifically to support data and analytics leaders in transforming data access and delivery in the enterprise.” The report continued, “The discipline of data integration comprises the practices, architectural techniques and tools that ingest, transform, combine and provision data across the spectrum of information types. This integration takes place in the enterprise and beyond the enterprise—across partners and third-party data sources and use cases—to meet the data consumption requirements of all applications and business processes.”
The Magic Quadrant for Metadata Management Solutions report identified Leaders as “front-runners with an offering that supports the full range of metadata management capabilities. They exhibit a clear understanding of, and vision for, where the market is headed and are strong in matching customers’ requirements in a variety of use cases. They support both business and technical metadata scenarios, leveraging strategic partnerships to optimize the delivery of their solutions. These vendors establish market trends by providing new functional capabilities in their products, and by identifying new types of business problem to which they can bring significant value. Leaders have an established and/or fast-growing market presence, and a multinational presence,” according to Gartner.
