Oracle Named a Leader in 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems

Oracle noted as a Leader for the 11th time based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Jul 3, 2018

Oracle today announced that it has been positioned in the Leaders quadrant of the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems¹. This is the 11th time Oracle has been named a Leader. The report evaluates vendors providing holistic multimodal domestic Transportation Management Systems (TMS) on their ability to execute and completeness of vision. Oracle believes that this recognition further demonstrates Oracle’s ability to deliver a unified, scalable solution that meets and exceeds the needs of modern supply chains.

A complimentary copy of the report is available here.

“Gartner continues to see the TMS market grow at an accelerated rate. Factors such as the need to reduce costs; improve internal productivity, efficiency and customer service; increase visibility; and make better use of capacity are driving the growth of the market through 2022,” the report states.

Regarding Oracle Transportation Management Cloud, Oracle believes that its global expansion and commitment to innovative cloud technology validates its position in the market.

“Controlling transportation costs, creating internal efficiencies, increasing visibility and securing transport capacity are currently the top motivators for investing in a TMS,” the report states.

Oracle Transportation Management Cloud provides a single platform for transportation orchestration across the entire supply chain, which helps customers reduce freight costs, optimize service levels, and automate processes for more efficient and effective logistics operations.

“It’s clear that emerging technologies are driving dramatic shifts in how businesses are run and can offer enormous business benefits, when executed properly,” said Derek Gittoes, vice president, SCM Product Strategy. “Oracle Transportation Management Cloud marries leading edge cloud-based technologies with an expansive ecosystem of partners to help every type of shipper manage and get ahead of challenges brought on by the demands of modern business.”
