Established in 2005, English MouMou Co. Ltd. offers self-directed English programs via more than 1000 franchised learning centers in Korea. Its aim is to create a learning environment for more than 30,000 elementary and middle school students to enjoy self-learning English without lagging behind their curriculum. To keep pace with technological developments, English MouMou launched a smart learning system for students to learn English skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing via interactive communication sessions. Students can also personalize the curriculum based on individual skill-level and gain real-time learning and evaluation via a dedicated “Smart MouMou” tablet.

Execution

After a three-month proof-of-concept, English MouMou chose Oracle Database Appliance X5-2, Oracle Database 12c, Enterprise Edition, and Oracle Real Application Clusters 12c to build the smart learning system. It went live with the new system in just one month after data migration.

Oracle Gold Partner, Astom Technology proposed and implemented Oracle Database Appliance and Oracle Database 12c for English MouMou’s smart learning system upgrade project. It also provided consulting services throughout the implementation process.
