Oracle and Microsoft are now offering Oracle Database@Azure to customers in Australia. With the services’ debut in the Microsoft Azure Australia East region, customers gain all the performance, scale, and workload availability advantages of Oracle Database on OCI with the security, flexibility, and best-in-class services of Azure. To meet rapidly growing global demand, Oracle and Microsoft continue to make Oracle Database@Azure available in more new regions across the world and add new services.

Oracle and Microsoft also announced new updates to the Oracle Database@Azure solution.

  • Oracle Database Zero Data Loss Autonomous Recovery Service, a data protection solution for Oracle databases running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) that enables organizations to quickly recover business critical data within seconds of an outage or ransomware attack, is now available on Oracle Database@Azure.
  • Now in preview, Oracle Database@Azure integration with Microsoft Sentinel, a cloud-native security information and event management system designed to identify and stop cyberthreats across your entire enterprise with intelligent security analytics.
  • OCI GoldenGate, a data mesh platform that uses replication to keep data highly available for real-time analysis is planned to be available soon as a managed service on Oracle Database@Azure, with full feature parity to OCI GoldenGate.

Oracle Database@Azure brings these technologies, along with Oracle Exadata Database Service, including Oracle Database 23ai and Oracle Autonomous Database, running on OCI, into Azure datacentres.
