Data hub
Welcome to the Oracle Data Hub, which contains policies, statements, and disclosures related to companywide efforts around our environmental and social impact.
Environmental governance
The board of directors and executive leadership oversee environmental sustainability and climate-related matters. The Oracle Environmental Policy, signed by the CEO, who also serves on the board of directors, sets out the company’s approach to managing material environmental issues and assigns the Environmental Steering Committee responsibility for implementing and overseeing the policy.
-
Environmental Steering Committee
Chaired by our chief sustainability officer, the Environmental Steering Committee (ESC) brings together senior leaders from across the company to implement the Environmental Policy and help ensure environmental priorities, risks, and opportunities are considered in relevant business decisions. The ESC provides periodic updates to our co-CEO, who also serves on our board of directors, supporting their oversight of environmental matters.
-
Decision-making approach
We evaluate sustainability-related initiatives with the same disciplined business judgment we apply across the company. Depending on the initiative, we consider cost, feasibility, risk, reliability, resiliency, customer demand, regulatory requirements, strategic fit, contractual structure, data quality, auditability, and long-term business value. ROI and expected value may be relevant inputs, but they are not the only appropriate measures for decisions involving customer commitments, compliance obligations, power reliability, water-stress constraints, supplier engagement, emissions reporting, market access, or other sustainability initiatives.
Risk management and resilience
We manage environmental and other sustainability-related risks and opportunities through our broader enterprise risk management (ERM) framework. ERM helps us identify, assess, prioritize, monitor, and respond to issues that could affect our operations, strategy, customers, stakeholders, and long-term business objectives. We use annual risk assessments to evaluate significant risks and our Emerging Risk Program to monitor issues that may become more significant over time. ERM works alongside our resilience and crisis management programs to support risk-informed decision-making, preparedness, and coordinated responses to ESG-related risks.
Business lines may also conduct risk management activities tailored to their operations, providing additional input on our broader risk assessment and reporting processes. We draw on our global double materiality assessment, input from business teams and suppliers, and market and regulatory monitoring to identify and assess ESG risks and opportunities across our operations and value chain. For climate-related risks and opportunities, we also use climate scenario analysis to consider how different climate conditions and transition pathways could affect the company over time. These insights help inform resilience planning, resource allocation, supplier engagement, and business decisions.
Board and executive leadership provide oversight of environmental and climate-related matters, while our Environmental Steering Committee supports the integration of environmental risks into the company’s broader risk management framework.

Materiality
Materiality helps us identify the environmental, social, and governance issues most significant to responsible business management, long-term growth, and transparent reporting.
To identify material topics, we conduct a double materiality assessment across our global operations and value chain covering environmental, social, and governance topics. Our assessment is informed by the double materiality concept reflected in the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), which considers both the impacts of our activities on people and the environment and sustainability-related risks and opportunities that may affect our business.
We draw on input from teams across the company, informed by relevant customer, supplier, and other stakeholder perspectives, and review these topics as our business and the world around us change. Information relevant to our material topics is organized under the business priorities outlined on this page.
