Oracle Cloud Web Application Firewall

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Web Application Firewall (WAF) is a cloud-based, PCI-compliant, global security service that protects applications from malicious and unwanted internet traffic. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure WAF can protect any internet-facing endpoint, providing consistent rule enforcement across a customer's applications.

Protection

Over 250 predefined OWASP, application and compliance-specific rules. The WAF also provides aggregated threat intelligence from multiple sources, including Webroot BrightCloud®. Integrated with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Identity, Audit and Monitoring services for a cohesive approach.

Access

Administrators can add and configure their own access controls based on geolocation data, whitelisted and blacklisted IP addresses, and HTTP URL and header characteristics. Provides WAF protection for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure deployments and across on-premises, hybrid cloud, and multicloud environments.

Bot Management

Leverages an advanced set of challenges including JavaScript verification, CAPTCHA, device fingerprinting, and human interaction algorithms to identify and block malicious bot traffic. WAF can be managed via its API, Terraform provider, or software development kits (SDKs) in multiple languages.
