The OPSI retention period is 25 months. In Enterprise Manager, it will show all ADDM data that is present in the database. That is, Enterprise Manager honors the user’s database AWR and ADDM task retention policies, which are user configurable.
Enterprise Manager doesn't keep local copies of the diagnostics data, whereas OPSI stores that data in its local repository in Oracle Cloud. The scope in OPSI is a fleet-wide compartment, whereas in Enterprise Manager, it's a single database.
EBoth PDBs and CDBs are supported in Enterprise Manager starting with Oracle Database 19c, whereas OPSI supports PDBs starting with Oracle Database 19c and higher, and for non-PDBs from Oracle Database 18c and higher.
Performance Hub provides detailed view for monitoring: historical and real-time monitoring, whereas Top Activity Lite is an optimized view for real-time monitoring (last 1 hour). Performance Hub has various tabs, such as ADDM, Blocking Sessions, Workload, and Exadata, apart from Active Session History (ASH) Analytics and SQL Monitoring, whereas Top Activity Lite has two tabs: ASH Analytics and SQL Monitoring.
Top Activity Lite is not a one-to-one replacement for Top Activity, which in previous releases of Enterprise Manager was deprecated due to its reliance on Flash technology. Top Activity Lite combines the rich capabilities of Performance Hub with optimizations for quick triaging by operators and compact visualization for performance diagnosis that existed before with Top Activity.
To use Migration Workbench, you need to license Real Application Testing for source and destination databases.
Both on-premises to cloud or on-premises to on-premises including cross-platform migrations are supported. You can migrate to any Oracle Database (from Database 19c and above) running on commodity hardware, Oracle Exadata, Oracle Exadata Database Service, Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer, Oracle Base Database Service, and Oracle Autonomous Database.
There are no limitations. Use the TTS migration method to address size concerns using full and incremental backup options and to reduce downtime.
End-to-end database migrations can be automated using Enterprise Manager’s emcli and REST API.
