Embed Suggestions Intelligently Throughout the Analytics Lifecycle

Why Are We Building This?
You shouldn’t have to stare at a blank canvas wondering where to begin. Where do you start? What do others like you need to see? What’s the best way to visualize your data? Auto-suggest moves you through the analytics cycle, using ML behind the scenes to simplify the overall experience.

What is auto-suggest?

Auto-suggest provides unbiased suggestions and recommendations—streamlining your experience by suggesting alternative options and guiding you quickly to key insights. It’s a valuable time-saver that helps you get to the data, visualizations, or content you are looking for. Auto-suggestions are just that—suggestions, not mandates. You are still able to override the suggestions with the click of a mouse.

The following auto-suggest capabilities will be incorporated across the entire analytics experience. The system will:

  • Suggest data and content on the Oracle Analytics home page to get you started faster
  • Suggest the best graphic to display (based on dimensionality and cardinality of the data) when users select data elements for analysis
  • Suggest visualizations based on the ways others in your workgroup operate
  • Understand more about your personal preferences, then driving you toward what you need, not only what you think you want
  • Automatically discover the best data to start your analysis

How does this benefit you, the customer?

Faced with a blank canvas, analysts and consumers often don’t know where to start. By improving the overall experience using auto-suggest, analytics is personalized to your needs and fast-tracks the cycle to quicker actions.
