Empower Developers and ISVs to Embed Analytics Content—Easily and Anywhere

Why Are We Building This?
Insights delivered in context of other business activities are highly valued. Often, that means embedding analysis within another application or publishing analytics content on a web page. The embedding process must be simple to do, yet sophisticated enough to adapt to more complex integration scenarios.

What is needed to embed analytics content?

Application programming interfaces (APIs) establish the communication protocols for components of an application or different applications to “talk” to each other. When you want to embed analytics capabilities in other applications, a software development kit (SDK) provides the environment to integrate your code with Oracle Analytics code.

Use cases can be simple to complex. To support a range of scenarios, we plan to:

  • Deliver step-by-step examples of common use cases such as adding custom visualizations and embedding analytics content on a web page.
  • Continue to expand the publishing of Oracle Analytics APIs for public consumption.
  • Enhance the SDK to enable additional integration scenarios.
  • Provide facility to more easily upload scripts to Oracle Analytics.

How does this benefit you, the customer?

Embedding analytics and extending capabilities allows the right analytics to appear at the optimal point of impact.
