Silver Cross Hospital is a not-for-profit acute care medical center serving southwest suburban Chicago and Will County, known for its modern 348-bed campus and strong reputation for safety and quality. When the hospital faced challenges with cleaning turnaround times and discharge delays that slowed patient flow, they partnered with Oracle Health to improve how teams coordinate and act on near real-time information. Leveraging Oracle Health Patient Flow, environmental services (EVS) teams have experienced a 29% reduction in median EVS response time, enabling them to be efficiently dispatched to the closest room requiring a cleaning service. This has also resulted in a 30% reduction in median total EVS turnaround time.[1]
Leadership also uses Oracle Health Command Center Dashboard to guide operational decisions across the facility, while care teams rely on Oracle Health Clinical Operations Whiteboard to identify and address barriers to discharge earlier in the patient stay. These improvements help Silver Cross streamline the patient care journey and enable teams to focus on delivering high-quality care.
