It’s given back being ‘in the moment,’ not on the computer typing the whole time. I’m able to truly be present for my patients while they tell me their story and how I can help.

The East Tennessee community-owned healthcare system wanted to help physicians more quickly and accurately record key points from patient interactions. The organization decided to implement Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent, an AI-powered voice assistant that records key elements of the physician-patient encounter and uses powerful AI, voice-first technology. The AI Agent interprets information, inputs a draft note into the Oracle Health EHR, and allows a physician to quickly review and approve the documentation produced. After Covenant Health installed the mobile application on physicians’ phones and desktops, providers created thousands of notes with outstanding results, saving time and reducing administrative overhead. In all, providers saw a 14.7% decrease in the average time spent per patient in the EHR and saved an average of 36 minutes per day based on patients seen. Looking ahead, Covenant plans to focus on expanding usage in the organization.[1]
