1. INTRODUCTION

This Oracle Recruiting Privacy Policy (Privacy Policy) describes how Oracle Corporation, and its subsidiaries and affiliates, use and process your personal information during our application and recruitment process and why we use it. It explains how to update and access your personal information and how to contact us with other privacy inquiries.

This Privacy Policy was last updated on May 6, 2026, and we may update it from time-to-time to comply with legal requirements or meet changing business needs. The most up-to-date version of the Privacy Policy is found on this website. We will inform you in another appropriate way if material or important changes are made to this Privacy Policy.

2. SCOPE

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information about individuals who create a job account, apply for or are a potential candidate for a job, express interest in working at Oracle, or attend recruiting events (“you” or “your”), in connection with:

  • Oracle’s career site called Oracle Recruiting;
  • Oracle’s recruiting activities more generally, conducted both offline and online including through third party sites as defined below under Section 4 (the “Sites”); and
  • Receiving emails that promote job events, job opportunities, Oracle career newsletters or information, and surveys.

3. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Oracle Corporation, having its registered address at 2300 Oracle Way, Austin, TX, 78741, USA, and the local Oracle subsidiary or affiliate entity or entities of the country or countries where you have applied, are the data controllers and responsible for processing your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. When Oracle engages third parties to help perform activities described in the Privacy Policy, those third parties are data processors that process personal information on behalf of the Oracle entity or entities as the data controller(s).

4. WHICH CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE PROCESS AND FROM WHICH SOURCES?

We process personal information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account on Oracle Recruiting, submit a job application, take an assessment on the Sites, sign up to receive emails, participate in surveys, in connection with a recruiting event, and when we conduct a remote or in-person interview. We may also receive personal information about you from other sources such as from references, in connection with background or employment checks, from target companies where Oracle conducts due diligence related to a potential acquisition of your employer entity or assets, from third party sources like professional headhunters or recruiting firms, data brokers or, if allowed by applicable law, other sources such as Sites. Sites include, without limitation, social sites or platforms you have joined and other sites where you have given consent for that site to share personal information with other companies such as Oracle, where you have created a public page or profile or otherwise given permission so that recruiters can access, receive and use your information. They also can include vendor sites where Oracle has invited you to participate or share personal information to conduct assessments, evaluations, or online interviews. Online video interviews are subject to supplemental privacy terms.

Oracle may process the following categories of personal information for our recruitment activities as further described in Section 5 of this Privacy Policy:

  • Identifiers information such as name, email address, photos, and contact details
  • Information you submit to Oracle including CV, resume, or transcripts, and any supporting documentation you provide such as copies of identification documents, pay slips, certificates and diplomas
  • educational and employment background
  • job qualifications and work eligibility, including your nationality, country of residence, and visa and immigration status
  • jobs in which you have expressed an interest or for which you would like to submit an application, and jobs that Oracle has identified as being of interest to you
  • employment references
  • compensation details, such as salary information as permitted under applicable law
  • background check information, such as a verification of your educational and professional background, and other relevant information subject to Oracle policies and applicable laws
  • information reasonably necessary to evaluate your job related qualifications, skills, and experience for a position, including Oracle assessing information in your profile in OR
  • data from surveys conducted by Oracle or by third parties on behalf of Oracle
  • publicly available information, such as social media or other online resources where your information is made publicly available
  • certain types of sensitive personal information as described in Section 12 below
  • IP address and other online identifiers such as web attributes
  • indicators of suspected fraud, identity theft, automated traffic, credential abuse, or malicious activity
  • biometric data, in accordance with the Oracle Facilities and Physical Security Privacy Policy
  • Oracle uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) tools to assist in recruiting activities and to process personal information. As further described in this Privacy Policy, these tools are designed to support, not replace, human decision-making. AI-enabled tools may provide outputs such as rankings, recommendations, summaries, or match scores to assist our recruiting teams. AI will not be used to substantially assist Oracle or replace humans in making employment decisions. Recruiting and hiring decisions are made by people. Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate measures such as:
    • meaningful human review of relevant suggestions, recommendations or outputs;
    • quality checks designed to reduce the risk of errors;
    • steps to help identify and mitigate potential bias or discriminatory outcomes; and
    • the ability for candidates to raise concerns or request additional information, where required by law.
  • If you have concerns about the use of automated tools in your application, you may request an alternative selection process or additional review as outlined below. Oracle evaluates such tools prior to use and on an ongoing basis to help ensure they are job-related, consistent with business necessity, and do not result in unlawful discrimination or disparate impact under applicable law.

5. WHY AND HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • to verify your identity, education, and experience
  • to communicate with you and respond to your requests or application
  • for recruitment, evaluation, background screening and hiring purposes
  • to enable and enhance your experience while using Oracle Recruiting
  • to analyze, develop, and improve Oracle Recruiting, our recruiting activities and other Oracle products and services
  • to maintain and monitor the security of Oracle, its people and its assets
  • to comply with applicable laws and regulations and to operate our business
  • to be more efficient in the recruiting process.

These purposes are described below in further detail.

  • To verify your identity

Oracle may require additional information from you to help prevent fraud or misrepresentation during the recruiting process. To do so, Oracle may require your identity to be verified and require additional information from you such as a current photo or identification documentation or may snap a screen shot of you and/or your screen during a video interview with Oracle. Oracle may create an interview badge with your photo and include this information in your Oracle Recruiting portfolio. Oracle may also assess the authenticity of documentation you provided during the recruiting process to help identify forgery, manipulation of documentation and to help prevent fraud. Oracle may use artificial intelligence to assist it with this purpose.

  • To communicate with you and respond to your requests or application or to inform you about opportunities and events

If you get in touch with us (for example, through Oracle Recruiting, contact forms, sign up to receive email, contact with our recruiters, at events or via Sites) we process information about you to communicate with you about your application and job interests. For example, we may update you on the status of your application, inform you about new vacancies and hiring events, or invite you for recruitment activities such as for an interview or to gauge your interest in working at Oracle. If you sign up for promotional emails, we may inform you about job opportunities and provide updates and information about working at Oracle.

  • For recruitment, evaluation, and background screening, and hiring purposes

We process information about you to help identify your candidacy for specific positions at Oracle and to help evaluate whether your skills, background and experience align with job requisitions. We may use AI to help assist Oracle for these purposes. Oracle processes information about you in our recruitment systems to manage candidate selection and recruiting processes. If you are selected for a position at Oracle, information about you will also be used to facilitate the hiring process. Please be aware that, prior to hiring and for Oracle to extend an offer to you, you may need to complete a background check in accordance with Oracle policies and local law. Depending on your region, additional details regarding our use of background check information about you may also be specified in the applicable privacy notices and/or policies of our background check service provider. Oracle may also invite you to participate in assessments to evaluate your knowledge, skills, and suitability for a position which may be conducted on third party Sites. In evaluating your suitability for the position, Oracle personnel may access your assessment and receive results and personal information from these Sites.

  • To enable your use of Oracle Recruiting

When you create an Oracle Recruiting account, Oracle will process your personal information so we can administer your individual account. Upon account creation, Oracle will send you a unique login. This enables us to administer your account (such as authenticating your access or changing your password at your request). Oracle also uses personal information to enhance the user experience and to help reduce job and candidate search time within Oracle Recruiting. We will populate entries with your information from your resume, CV, or profile and find open job requisitions to help you identify roles at Oracle you may be interested in. Oracle may also make suggestions on roles for which you may consider applying. Please check and update your profile and entries for completeness and accuracy, so Oracle has the most up to date and accurate information about you.

  • To analyze, develop, and improve Oracle Recruiting, our recruiting activities and Oracle products and services

In order to analyze, develop, and improve Oracle Recruiting, our recruiting activities, and Oracle products and services, Oracle may process information about you. If you encounter technical issues while using Oracle Recruiting or if it is not functioning as expected, we will use that information for these purposes. We may also process information about you to develop and test new products or system versions, patches, and updates. We may also conduct surveys / collect data about these activities to gather your input on Oracle, your experience, and our recruiting activities.

  • To maintain and monitor the security of Oracle, its people, and its assets

We may use your personal information to maintain and monitor the security of Oracle, its people, and its assets such as Oracle Recruiting, our sites, facilities, applications, systems, and networks. We may process your personal information to help identify suspicious activities on our sites, facilities, systems, applications, and networks and to help keep our people and assets secure. Oracle may investigate and take steps to prevent potential risk and fraud, including ad fraud, cyber-attacks, deep fakes, fraudulent candidates, imposters, and to detect bots. Oracle may screen and evaluate an applicant’s email address, telephone number, and IP address and other online activity signals to help identify potential risk, fraud, or suspicious activity. Oracle may take action on an individual account that has been flagged for suspicious activity.

  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations and for business operations

We may process your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Oracle’s legal obligations for legally mandated reporting, exercising or defending legal rights, and other judicial orders and judicial and legal process related requests. We may also process information about you in the performance and organization of our business and internal management, to conduct audits and investigations, to run reports and analytics, for mergers and acquisitions, finance and accounting, archiving and insurance purposes and in the context of dispute resolution.

  • To be more efficient in the recruiting process

Oracle may use data analytics and artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to assist recruiters in sorting through candidate and application information. Artificial intelligence and machine learning help to expedite the application process and assist Oracle personnel in identifying candidates based on professional qualifications, skills, and experience commensurate with a relevant requisition. This helps both you and Oracle be more efficient in this process. Outputs and results are evaluated by Oracle recruiters and are not the sole source of whether to consider a candidate for employment. Oracle uses appropriate safeguards to process your personal information in artificial intelligence and machine learning tools, in a responsible and legally compliant manner.

Your personal information will not be used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning tools. Oracle does not make hiring decisions based solely on automated processing or without human involvement. AI-assisted tools are used to support recruiting decisions but do not replace human judgment.

  • Use of AI in Oracle systems

We may use tools and systems that include artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and other automated processing to support and improve our recruiting and hiring activities. These tools are designed to support, not replace human decision-making and may help us more efficiently and consistently:

  • source and identify potential candidates;
  • review, screen, and organize applications (for example, to help match skills, education, or experience to role requirements);
  • schedule interviews and manage recruiting communications;
  • support interview preparation and note-taking, and generate summaries for recruiter review;
  • help assess job-related qualifications (for example, identifying relevant experience, certifications, or skills described in application materials);
  • support fraud prevention, security, and compliance (for example, detecting suspicious activity or misuse of recruiting systems); and
  • analyze and improve the effectiveness, quality, and fairness of our recruiting processes (including reporting and analytics).

AI outputs are one of multiple factors considered and are not determinative in employment decisions. If you are given and accept an offer of employment by Oracle, the personal information collected during your pre-employment period may become part of your employment record, to be retained throughout and for a period of time after your employment with Oracle in accordance with Oracle`s policies and applicable local laws.

6. FOR COUNTRIES SUCH AS EU/EEA AND OTHER RELEVANT REGIONS, WHAT IS OUR LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

For EU/EEA and other relevant regions, our legal basis for processing your personal information includes one or more of the following:

  • Oracle has a legitimate interest in processing your contact and related information to consider your candidacy for employment, to communicate with you, and to respond to your enquiries and requests.
  • Your use of Oracle Recruiting and the processing of information about you for recruiting purposes is based on your consent. Please note that you may exercise your privacy rights by objecting or not proceeding with pursuing a job, closing your account, or withdrawing your consent. This may affect our ability to consider you for employment at Oracle.
  • Any processing of your sensitive personal information in connection with your job application is based on your explicit consent or as necessary to comply with law. Please note that you may object, not proceed with pursuing a job, close your account or withdraw your consent, although this may affect our ability to consider you for employment at Oracle.
  • The processing of information about you as part of our offline and online recruitment activities outside Oracle Recruiting is based on our legitimate interest in finding qualified candidates for a specific job.
  • If you were not selected for a position but would like to be informed about future job opportunities that may be of interest to you, we may process relevant contact and related information you provided as part of your initial application or information we have obtained from Sites based on our legitimate interest to find qualified candidates for the position.
  • Our processing of information about you when you sign up to receive emails or to participate in a survey is based on your consent and we may process this information to keep you informed about our recruiting activities, and to gather feedback about our process and your hiring experience. You can opt-out of receiving these emails or participating in surveys at any time.
  • Our processing of information about you for security purposes is based on our legitimate interest in protecting Oracle, its people, assets, systems and networks and maintaining our workforce in connection with Oracle’s core values and policies.
  • Our processing of information about you for legal and regulatory purposes is based on a legal obligation or on Oracle’s legitimate interest in complying with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Our processing of information about you for business operations purposes is based on our legitimate interest in operating our business in an efficient and appropriate manner
  • Our processing of personal information also will be as necessary to enter into a contract with you for employment purposes.
  • Our processing of personal information about you shall not be used to algorithmically evaluate or classify you based on social behavior, personality traits, or predictive social scoring.
  • Where AI-assisted or security screening tools are used, Oracle applies appropriate safeguards. Oracle does not make automated hiring decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without appropriate safeguards and where required, providing you the right to obtain human intervention.

7. FOR HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Oracle maintains your personal information for the following retention periods:

  • If you, or a recruiter on your behalf, create an account in Oracle Recruiting, information in the account will be retained for as long as your account is actively maintained. Your account will be deemed inactive and your account information will be deleted after five (5) years of inactivity.
  • Oracle will retain your personal information related to your application for a position (such as your curriculum vitae/resume or the position to which you applied, assessment results) for up to five (5) years from the date you applied.
  • If you sign up to receive promotional emails, Oracle will maintain this information for a period of five (5) years or shorter if you opt out. If you opt out Oracle will retain your opt out preference for twenty (20) years (or as long as necessary to comply with applicable law).
  • Security logs and threat management signals are retained only as long as necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance but no longer than for up to five (5) years from the date you last logged into Oracle Recruiting.

To the extent permitted or required by law, or as requested by you, Oracle may delete your personal information at any time. As a result, you should retain your own copy of any information you submit to us. In some cases, to comply with applicable law or a legal obligation, Oracle may deny your request to delete personal information and may retain your personal information for longer than the stated retention timeframe.

8. WHEN AND HOW CAN WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Disclosure within Oracle

As a global organization your personal information may be shared throughout Oracle’s worldwide organization. A list of Oracle entities with which information about you can be shared is available here. Please select a region and country to view the registered address and contact details of the Oracle entity or entities located in each country. See also Section 9 of this Privacy Policy. Oracle and its agents and personnel are authorized to access and process personal information only to the extent necessary to serve the applicable purpose(s), to perform their jobs, and are bound by appropriate confidentiality agreements.

Disclosure with third parties

Where necessary and in accordance with applicable law, we disclose personal information with third parties as described below.

  • Service providers and third parties (for example, website management, information technology and related infrastructure provision, background, assessment or employment check service providers, auditing, and other similar services) in order for those service providers to perform business functions on behalf of Oracle. This may include providers of AI-assisted recruiting features and threat management/security tooling, where necessary to support recruiting and protect Oracle and its assets.
  • Relevant third parties in the event of a reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
  • As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or other legal process, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to government requests, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence, for national security and/or law enforcement purposes.

When third parties are provided access to your personal information, we require them to abide by contract, to appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to ensure that your personal information is processed only to the extent that such processing is necessary, consistent with this Privacy Policy, and in accordance with applicable law. Note that some of these third parties, such as our background check service providers may also maintain additional privacy policies and notices.

9. HOW IS PERSONAL INFORMATION HANDLED GLOBALLY?

Oracle is a global corporation with operations in over 80 countries and personal information is transferred, accessed, and stored globally including in countries or regions outside of the one in which you reside. If your personal information is transferred to an Oracle recipient or third party in a country that does not provide an adequate level of protection for personal information Oracle will take measures designed to ensure that your personal information is adequately protected and where required, transferred subject to appropriate transfer mechanisms such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses or similar legally recognized standard contractual clauses.

10. HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURED?

Oracle has implemented appropriate technical, physical, and organizational measures designed to protect and safeguard your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, damage, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access as well as all other forms of unlawful processing (including, but not limited to, unnecessary collection) or further processing.

11. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

Depending on your country (or state) of residence, in accordance with applicable law, you may have certain rights in relation to our use of information about you, such as the right to request access, correct and update, erase or delete, object and obtain a copy of your personal information. For California residents see Section 14.

  • Withdraw consent - You may request to withdraw the consent you have previously provided for the processing of your personal information.
  • Delete personal information - You can erase or delete all or some of your personal information in the Oracle Recruiting.
  • Change or correct personal information - You can edit some of your personal information in the Oracle Recruiting.
  • Object to, or limit or restrict use of personal information - You can ask us to stop using all or some of your personal information.
  • Right to access and/or receive a copy of your personal information - You can also obtain a copy of some of your personal information in machine-readable form in the Oracle Recruiting.

If you prefer not to have your application assessed using AI/ML features, you may opt out by completing the form below. Opting out will not negatively impact your application, which will be reviewed manually by our team.

Notice for New York City Residents:
When applying for jobs through Oracle Recruiting, AI and ML technologies may be used in connection with your application. You have a right to take at least 10 business days to decide whether to proceed with submitting your information through this process. By continuing, you confirm that you understand this notice. If you choose to submit your application before the 10-business-day period expires, you are voluntarily deciding to move forward knowing that AI and ML tools may be used as part of the recruitment process.

12. DOES ORACLE COLLECT SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION?

In certain countries, Oracle maintains an equal opportunity program, and/or non-discrimination policies, pursuant to applicable law. As such, Oracle may request and process sensitive personal information and demographic information from you related to protected characteristics as defined by applicable law. You may also voluntarily disclose such sensitive personal information to Oracle. Threat management screening or identity verification may reveal or involve sensitive personal information which Oracle may process as permitted by applicable law and with appropriate safeguards. If you share such information with Oracle, it will not be Sold or Shared (as the terms Sold and Share are defined in the CCPA). We process this information with your consent, for our legitimate interest in complying with company policies, and to comply with applicable law.

If you have a disability and would like Oracle to consider any accommodation, you may disclose or provide that information during the recruiting process.

13. WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

You are responsible for the personal information that you provide or make available to Oracle, and must ensure it is truthful, accurate, and up-to-date in all respects. You must ensure that the information provided does not contain material that is false, obscene, defamatory, or infringes on any rights of any third party; does not contain malicious code; and is not otherwise legally actionable. Further, if you provide any personal information concerning any other person, such as individuals you provide as references, you are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consents necessary for Oracle to collect and use that information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you provide false, misleading, inaccurate, or incomplete information, attempt to violate the Oracle Terms of Use, or create multiple or redundant individual accounts in Oracle Recruiting, Oracle may determine you are ineligible for employment and/or ban you from using Oracle Recruiting. You understand that this Privacy Policy does not form part of any employment contract you may be offered in connection with your employment at Oracle.

14. IF YOU ARE A CALIFORNIA RESIDENT, WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT AS AMENDED (CCPA)?

You may request that Oracle:

1. Disclose the following information for the time you specify:

a. the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you
b. the categories of personal information we sold or shared
c. the categories of sources from which we collected such personal information
d. the business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling personal information about you;
e. the categories of third parties to whom we sold or otherwise disclosed personal information about you

2. Correct inaccurate information we may have about you, unless retained solely for legal and compliance purposes and as otherwise set out in the CCPA.

3. Delete personal information we collected from you, unless retained solely for legal and compliance purposes and as otherwise as set out in the CCPA.

The categories of personal information we collect about you are included in this Privacy Policy in Section 4 and the business purposes are set out in Section 5. Oracle’s retention periods are set out in Section 7. We do not process the sensitive personal information set out in Section 12 to infer characteristics about you. For purposes of the CCPA, personal information does not include publicly available information that is lawfully made available from government records that you have otherwise made available to the public and any other information specifically excluded from the CCPA’s scope.

In addition, we will not discriminate against you, including any retaliation against you, for exercising your rights under the CCPA. If you submit a request, please be specific as to what right you are asserting (e.g., access, correction, etc.), and which specific pieces of personal information and date range of the scope of your request. In some cases, in order to comply with applicable law or a legal obligation, Oracle may deny your request or may seek more information from you to respond to your request. We do not sell or share Personal information or Sensitive Personal information as the terms ‘sell’ and ‘share’ are defined in the CCPA.

18. SUPPLEMENTAL RECRUITING PRIVACY POLICY TERMS

In addition to the terms you accepted when you applied on Oracle Recruiting you hereby agree to these supplemental terms and use of your personal information as set out in these Supplemental Recruiting Privacy Policy Terms (Supplemental Privacy Policy). Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the Oracle Recruiting Privacy Policy (Privacy Policy), when you use a third party site or Oracle provided technology (such as Zoom) to participate in an online video interview or an online assessment which may be recorded, you consent and agree to the use of your personal information as set out in this Supplemental Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms used but not defined herein have the meaning given to them in the Privacy Policy.

Personal information captured in a video recording may include personal information such as your voice and image. Such recordings may be transcribed and summarized for further review and evaluation during the recruiting process. In limited cases, an AI digital interviewer may be used for an initial prescreen interview. The results will be evaluated by an Oracle employee who will determine whether to advance you to the next stage of the interview process. Information learned about you through online interviews and evaluations used in connection therewith can include information about your personality, behavior, and suitability for a particular position. Sensitive personal information may be revealed in a video interview such as racial or ethnic origin, religion or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, membership in a trade union, political affiliation, physical or mental health or condition, commission or alleged commission of an offense or related proceedings or job evaluations or educational records. Oracle does not require and asks that you do not provide such information as part of these interviews. If you do not consent to your personal information being recorded or used as set out in this Supplemental Privacy Policy, do not apply through this process. If you would like Oracle to consider any accommodation, please contact Oracle at br-recruiting_br@oracle.com and Oracle may offer an accommodation, such as a phone interview, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Oracle will store a copy of the interview in accordance with its retention policies but will not retain the video for longer than is necessary to evaluate a candidate or as is otherwise permissible by applicable law. You understand that Oracle will not advance all candidates, nor will submission of an interview guarantee a job offer. Oracle reserves the right to make an offer or deny an interview, in its sole discretion, to candidates who submit an interview through this process, or who elect an accommodation to interview through phone or in some cases, in person with an Oracle recruiter. Any candidate, who Oracle determines in its sole discretion, has tampered with a video, shares unlawful or prohibited Content or violates Oracle’s Terms of Use, understands that all Content may be used as set out in the Terms of Use, including, to provide Content to law enforcement.
