On March 10, 2017, Oracle entered into an agreement to acquire the next generation Infinity™ big data platform assets from Webtrends and make the solution part of the Oracle Marketing Cloud. The Infinity offering allows businesses to see the complete picture of how customers interact with their brand across any digital channel, at any time, and in one place. The addition of Infinity to the Oracle Marketing Cloud will strengthen the industry’s most comprehensive cloud solution to manage marketing programs across all digital channels and across the customer lifecycle.
The Infinity solution will be first made available as an Oracle Cloud Service before being offered to customers, which is expected to be completed within six to nine months following the close of the transaction. In the meantime, existing customers will continue to be serviced by Webtrends and there will be no disruption to operations. The acquisition does not include any of Webtrends’ other offerings.
