We know that 100% of 524 is, well, just 524.**Step 2:**If 100% of 524 is 524, then we can get 1% of 524 by dividing it by 100. Let's do 524 / 100. This is equal to 5.24. Now we know that 1% is 5.24.**Step 3:**Now that we know what 1% of 524 is, we just need to multiply it by 1 to get our solution! 5.24 times 1 = 5.24. That's all there is to it!
