Improve Customer Engagement by Offering Personalized Content Using Enterprise Data

Introduction

Build targeted promotional offers based on your customers’ purchase behaviors and demographic information available in your organization’s private data, combined with the creativity of generative AI.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use large language models (LLMs) hosted by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI and natural language to analyze your organization’s private data in Oracle Autonomous Database. Your AI projects will be published as RESTful services that can be invoked from any application. You’ll use a React app to surface these analytics.

You’ll create a targeted promotion with recommended movies that customers of MovieStream, a fictitious movie streaming company, will receive. The recommendations will be generated by the LLM, based on movies that the customers previously enjoyed. In addition, a promotional offer will be made based on their geographic location using Autonomous Database’s spatial APIs. Next, you’ll create an open RESTful service that generates the targeted offer and then build an open source app using React and TypeScript. An open source mapping tool paired with Autonomous Database’s spatial capability help the app user find local pizza shops for customers.
