Oracle Cloud Isolated Region is a secure, air-gapped Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solution designed to meet the higher demands of global customers’ mission-critical, highly sensitive workloads. Oracle Cloud Isolated Regions deliver OCI compute, security, storage, and networking services in an on-premises environment with no internet connection. Oracle provides a dedicated 24/7/365 on-site support and operations team that meets your citizenship and security clearance requirements while bringing best-in-class price performance and security to your most sensitive operations in the public and private sectors, such as healthcare, finance, and defense.
We announced in March 2025 that the Singapore Defence Science and Technology Agency selected Oracle Cloud Isolated Region to support the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), enabling MINDEF and SAF to access high performance, air-gapped, and secure sovereign cloud computing, data management, and artificial intelligence services in a secured environment. The use of Oracle Cloud Isolated Region will transform the Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) functions of the SAF and will modernize its digital capabilities with increased scalability and performance.
Oracle Cloud Isolated Region fulfills the need for a dedicated on-premises cloud region—with no internet connection—that can safeguard your highly sensitive data and predictably run mission-critical workloads at hyperscale.
Oracle Cloud Isolated Regions are designed for highly sensitive workloads for both public sector (government, healthcare) and private sector (finance, telecommunications) organizations that require the highest levels of security and data isolation.
Oracle commits to the principle of Everything Everywhere by offering the same services in an Oracle Cloud Isolated Region that are available in Oracle public regions. This approach provides public and private sector customers with a predictable cloud experience within all cloud regions.

Oracle, as a managed service provider, performs change management and maintenance to maintain the operational stability, availability, security, performance, and currency of Oracle Cloud services. Oracle change management is distributed to regions globally. New releases and patches are subjected to robust scanning and security measures throughout the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using tools such as real-time audit capabilities and automatic quarantine functions to capture any items that fail the custom security checks you define. Operators in the CNOC verify, deploy, and monitor operations of the Oracle Cloud Isolated Region network.
By default, Oracle’s global service teams provide in-country operations and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for Oracle Cloud Isolated Regions. Alternatively, a joint operations staffing model can be instituted between Oracle and you (or your chosen system integrator).
